My goal as a family nurse practitioner is to partner with my patients to ensure they receive the best possible care. I love empowering my patients to participate actively in their health and medical decisions. I care deeply about the Allentown community and desire to serve its residents through compassionate, equitable care at Star Community Health.
I earned my Associate of Science in Nursing from Lehigh Carbon Community College. I then went to work for the St. Luke’s University Health Network as an inpatient nurse in many different types of units over my career. This gave me wide-ranging experience with varying types of patients, all with unique and individual needs. I love education and am a life-long learner always looking for opportunities to learn and grow. So, while continuing to work as a nurse, I pursued higher education by attending Chamberlain University for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Family Nurse Practitioner.
As a married mother of three, family is the most important part of my life. I love spending time with my family, whether at home, sitting around a fire in our backyard or on an adventure somewhere. I love to be outdoors and enjoy hiking, bike riding, kayaking, skiing or any other activity that involves fresh air and sunshine. I also really enjoy reading, puzzles and games. My favorite genres are science, mystery and history, so you will usually find me listening to a podcast or reading a book on one of those subjects.
