About Me

As a hip and knee surgeon, I meet patients at all stages of life. I see patients with and without arthritis, before and after joint replacements. I believe in a patient centered approach to elective hip and knee replacement. I feel strongly that my job as a physician and surgeon is to give all available treatment plans and allow the patient to be the captain of their own ship. Through this approach I enjoy getting to know my patients and working collaboratively in the decision-making process of non-operative care all the way through exploring the options of partial or total joint replacement.

I am an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the treatment of osteoarthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, inflammatory arthritis, deformity correction, avascular necrosis of the hip/knee and failed previous joint replacements. I perform partial/total knee and total hip replacements. I also have extensive training in the revision of hip/knee replacements and perform complex hip and knee reconstruction surgeries.

I attended medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school I completed a 5-year orthopedic surgical residency at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. During training I worked with well-renowned leaders in hip and knee arthroplasty throughout the Philadelphia/Baltimore/Boston areas and developed a passion for the ability of hip and knee replacements to restore function and improving patient’s lives. After residency, I pursued a fellowship in complex hip and knee reconstruction at University of Maryland and the Rubin Institute of Advanced Orthopedics. During this additional year of training, I further honed my skills in complex knee reconstruction, complex hip reconstruction, revision hip and knee reconstruction, partial knee replacement and robotic assisted joint replacements.

During my free time I enjoy spending time with my wife and the new addition of our daughter. I am an avid college football fan who bleeds blue and white, WE ARE. I’m also a car enthusiast who enjoys the scenic drives around the Lehigh Valley area. As a native of the Lehigh Valley, growing up and going to school in Whitehall, I am excited to return to the area and serve the community who I grew up with.
