About Me

Living with advanced liver disease can be debilitating, especially for those who may not have access to care. I take pride in advocating for my patients while collaborating with different specialties to deliver high-quality care accessible to patients in the Lehigh Valley.

I am a board-certified transplant hepatologist who treats patients with liver disease. I completed my internal medicine residency at Boston University and served as chief resident. I completed my gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University and my transplant hepatology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. During my fellowship, I also pursued a master’s degree in Health Science at Yale School of Medicine.

I treat a broad range of conditions, including nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), alcoholic liver disease, viral hepatitis, and autoimmune and genetic liver diseases. I am particularly interested in patients with decompensated cirrhosis and those with liver and biliary cancer. I also care for liver transplant recipients and can manage immunosuppression and complications that may occur after a liver transplant.

Ratings & Reviews

The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.

The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of St. Luke’s University Health Network.

Dr Tran is an outstanding doctor. Even though this was a routine appointment, I had a real need to see her because of a very recent problem. Thank goodness Dr Tran sure helped me.

This was an initial visit with this provider, who is part of my oncology team and appointment was more or less an introduction. Dr Tran and the Fellow, were both very helpful and thorough. Dr Tran explained her role in my care clearly as well as under what circumstances I should contact her office.

I knew Dr. Tran when she treated my brother at University of Pennsylvania. I was very impressed with the fantastic care she gave him. Dr. Tran mentioned she was transferring to St. Luke's Hospital, and I mentioned the great care he received at St. Luke's Hospital on rt. 663 Quakertown, Pa.. I also had very good care at St. Luke's. I specifically asked to have Dr. Tran as my physician. The check-in plus had to order bloodwork and a test which the scheduler did everything possible to accommodate my schedule and location from home to St. Luke's Hospital in Quakertown, Pa. Overall Dr. Tran spent time answering all questions and a thorough examination.
