I am a general surgeon and surgical oncologist at St. Luke's University Health Network. I am thrilled to be part of an organization with a patient-centered culture and a collaborative working environment.
My professional goal has always been to establish a connection with my patients and to partner with them in order to determine the best management plan for their unique situation. I am passionate about patient advocacy and work to serve patients and their families by bringing a hardworking, passionate approach to their care.
I look forward to working on expanding the cancer care that is available to patients within the Carbon County region and to connecting patients to multidisciplinary, individualized care.
I am originally from Langhorne, Pennsylvania and received my undergraduate education at Lehigh University, where I was a proud scholar athlete in the softball program. I obtained my medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and completed my general surgery residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. I went on to complete a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, reading, watching baseball and spending time with family and friends. My husband, Joseph Butash, MD, is an emergency medicine physician at St. Luke's Easton Campus. We are proud parents to our young son.
