This was a "New Patient" visit and my first encounter with Dr. Afaneh. I liked her very much. She really listened to me and was not busy making notes in the computer while doing so. She responded to and/or took action steps on all of of the concerns I brought to our first visit. I am very satisfied that I have made the right choice for my new Primary provider.

Dr noticed my right ankle swollen and referred me to St. Luke Orthopedics In Bethlehem...Dr. Lockman. I went for Initial consult and he recommended a brace which I have an appointment for a fitting this month. I was very surprised at how quickly I was seen by Dr. Lockman and that the appointment with the brace technician will be within the week.

Dr. Afaneh is very responsive to any and all questions. She treats you like a friend, not a patient. She is extremely prompt in answering questions posted to her on MyChart. I am extremely happy with her as my primary doctor and have recommended her to others.

This is what I expect of an annual physical exam. With a wellness check added, it should ALWAYS include a physical exam where an physician actually puts hands on you to examine areas of concern, evaluate systems based on medical history, and perform preventive evaluations to be proactive whether you have medicare or not. She met and exceeded my expectations and I am more confident in overall health. Included me in the decision making.

I was looking for a new internist and had made the initial appointment several weeks ago. I was so pleased to meet with Dr. Alfaneh and liked her immediately. My prior internist retired in December, Dr William Kesselring who had taken care of me and my husband for more than 25 years. Dr Alfaneh is a cordial, engaging person who I feel will be a wonderful physician taking excellent care of us. We will see her again in 3 months.
