I completed my podiatric training at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and my surgical residency at Community Medical Center (now Geisinger Community Medical center) in Scranton, PA. I spent three years of intensive training under world-renowned surgeon Dr. Guido LaPorta to perfect my surgical techniques in reconstructive foot and ankle surgery, limb lengthening, diabetic Charcot reconstruction, and pediatric deformity correction. I am board certified in foot surgery as well as Rearfoot and Ankle reconstructive surgery.  I am a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS); The  American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA) and a Member of the APMA.  I am proud to say that I am recognized as one of the foremost experts on Charcot foot disorder (neuropathic arthropathy). I also enjoy lecturing nationally and internationally on foot and ankle reconstructive surgery, limb salvage surgery, diabetic reconstructive surgery, and wound care. In the final year of my residency, I completed special training in Biomechanics of External Fixation of the foot and ankle at the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for pediatric orthopedics in Dallas, TX where I trained with world-renowned Russian orthopedic surgeon, Mikail Samchukov.  From this education, I wrote an article that focused on the mechanical properties of circular external fixation as it pertains to the foot and ankle and had the pleasure of presenting this work at the internationally renowned orthopedic group Association for the Study and Advancement of the Method of Ilizarov (ASAMI) meeting in Boston, MA in 2003.

My practice has doctors that can manage any issue in the foot and and lower leg.  We maintain great relationships with the specialists of the Lehigh Valley that include the patient’s primary care physician, vascular specialist, plastic surgeon, dermatologist, endocrinologist, etc.  This team approach guarantees our patients receive the care needed to recover quickly. 

I live in the Lehigh Valley with my wife and three daughters and am active in the community and with my parish.  Most of my free time is spent being a coach and cheerleader to my active little girls.   The toughest part of my move to the Lehigh Valley in 2003 was the tremendous dislike of my New England Patriots by new friends.  I have overcome this issue by becoming a giant fan of the LV Steelhawks (PIFL).
