I provide patient-centered care. I listen carefully to my patients’ stories, thoughts and concerns and respond in a way that they know they are heard. I clearly explain things and educate my patients on their medical conditions, so they feel empowered to make good health decisions.
I am a board-certified general surgeon at St. Luke’s University Health Network. My practice includes both open and laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery on the stomach, small and large intestines, gallbladder, appendix, skin and soft tissue lesions and abdominal wall hernias. In addition to elective cases, I take care of surgical emergencies.
I grew up in Durham, North Carolina and attended Meharry Medical College in Nashville, TN. I completed my surgical training at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. I delight in the beauty and peace of the Poconos and surrounding areas.
I enjoy travel, and spending time with family and friends. I have a passion for charity and volunteering in the community.
The Patient Satisfaction Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions from our nationally recognized Press Ganey Patient Satisfaction Survey. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.
Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.
The comments are submitted by patients and reflect their views and opinions. The comments are not endorsed by and do not necessarily reflect the views of St. Luke’s University Health Network.
