I enjoy taking time with each of my patients. It’s important to me that patients understand their cancer, the various treatment options available and the side effects associated with each of the treatments.
Ever since I learned that the immune system has the potential to eradicate cancer, my academic life has been focused on this fact. Clinically, my focus is breast cancer. I have introduced several advances since joining St. Luke's, such as sentinel lymph node surgery, advanced genomic testing and intraoperative radiation therapy for breast cancer. I have also published medical papers in each of these areas. Additionally, I strongly advocate for clinical trials in breast cancer.
I am dedicated to the community and spend time outside of work supporting cancer awareness and prevention events.
