I joined OAA’s Rheumatology Institute in 2009 after seven years of academic rheumatology practice in Philadelphia.
I am a graduate of Madras Medical College in India, and following graduation, I completed a residency in internal medicine in Upland, PA and fellowship training in rheumatology in Philadelphia, PA. I continue to author about recent advances and updates in rheumatic diseases.
I am board certified in both rheumatology and internal medicine, and I am on staff at St. Luke’s University Hospital. My areas of expertise include rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, gout, osteoporosis, and myositis. I also treat patients with various autoimmune diseases, such as lupus, Sjögren’s syndrome, and scleroderma. I have a kind and caring attitude towards my patients and practice evidence based medicine that utilizes state of the art medications, infusions, and injections.
At the region's only rheumatology institute of its kind, I work closely with physicians, surgeons, nurses, onsite physical therapists, and clinical staff with a unique team approach to care for patients with rheumatic problems.
