As a physician, I believe that taking the time to listen to patients and securing their trust plays an important part in health maintenance. In a specialty dealing with chronic conditions, I believe it is key to nurturing the doctor-patient relationship.
I earned my medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India; completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign; and a fellowship in rheumatology a the State University of New York Upstate. I am currently a member of the American College of Rheumatology.
Outside of work, I enjoy visiting new places and trying different cuisines that I can experiment with in my own kitchen. My husband and two children are my biggest fans and I spend most of my time finding different ways to entertain them!
