About Me

I am a full-time clinical assistant professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. I received my medical degree from Tripoli University, Libya, and completed my internal medicine training at Tripoli Central Hospital, Libya as well as at St. Francis Medical Center, New Jersey. I later served as associate program director for the internal medicine program at St. Francis Medical Center. I then completed pulmonary and critical care fellowship training at University of Vermont.  I have been in practice in Bethlehem since 2004. 

I have a passion for teaching at all levels and have earned teaching awards at every level of training and at every institution with which I have been affiliated. I am a Fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians (FCCP), and I remain active in research including venous thromboembolism and lung cancer detection.     

I live in the Lehigh Valley with my wife and four children.  I am highly active in the community and in my children’s activities.

Unlike other doctors I have seen. Doctor turkey Showed me that he cared.He listened to what I had to say and understood me. He's very encouraging and does not sugar coat anything. I am desperately trying to quit smoking after forty years. He told me the way it was and what the consequences will be if I don't. HeReally gets you thinking. I am determined now more than ever to quit my Smoking. Doctor turkey has scheduled me an appointmwith the pulmonary and critical Care associates. He has convinced me not to give up and i'm not going to. I thank god for doctor turkey and the human being that he is. Thank you.

This was my first visit with this provider. I was very happy with the information, plan of care presented. MOHAMED A TURKI, MD knowledge and caring manner was excellent. The staff carried this attitude forward as well.

Dr. Turki is a personable, easily approachable physician. He explained everything in understandable language. He took the time to open up my CT scans to review and explain the results of the previous to the newest scan. This helped in understanding what is going on and why he prescribed the medication for my condition. He was highly recommended to me and I will continue to highly recommend him to others.

Truly remarkable non _____ doctor. Ease my anxiety I gain confidence for my healing process. Took extra efforts to help other health issues, (e.g. insomnia, apnea, reflux acid) I'll never forget his support & kindness. Highly recommend him to everyone who requires his expertise.
