About Me

I am an Occupational and Environmental Medicine (OEM) physician at St. Luke’s University Health Network. My broad clinical and non-clinical work experience have made me uniquely prepared for the various types of patients I see. I have trained extensively in multiple specialties and take pride in utilizing that knowledge to provide the optimal treatment. I am committed to clinical research and have presented cases in multiple specialty venues in both state and national academic forums.

Occupational and Environmental Medicine encompasses a myriad of roles that vary daily. My practice provides excellent patient care to those who have sustained work-related injuries or illnesses. Furthermore, my expertise is applied in the many facets of workplace health and safety, such as:

· Consultations aimed at medico-legal aspects surrounding employment.

· Worksite walk throughs for process efficiency, improvements and injury prevention.

· Ergonomic workstation evaluations.

· OSHA & CDC NIOSH surveillance program implementation and maintenance.

· Post exposure (chemical, biological and environmental) medical management.

·  Fitness for duty and return to work evaluations.

As an OEM physician, I stay abreast of state and federal workplace standards, including those regulated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Additionally, as a certified medical examiner, I perform and provide guidance on regulatory medical examinations required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) – Dept of Transportation (DOT). Moreover, I am board certified in both Occupational & Environmental Medicine and Family Medicine.

I serve on the St. Luke’s Clinical Technology Governance Board, working with Information Technology Department analysts to continually optimize the use of  various electronic medical records for the betterment of both our patients and our employer clients.

I received my undergraduate degrees in Biological Sciences and Psychology from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ and my medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. I earned my Master of Science in Public Health Microbiology and Emerging Infectious Diseases at the George Washington University School Of Medicine and Public Health, School of Health Sciences in Washington, DC and then completed a family medicine residency at Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, a Geriatric Fellowship at St. Luke’s and an Occupational & Environmental Medicine Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania – Perelman School of Medicine.

I am a member of multiple professional organizations, such as the American Academy of Family Physicians, American College of Occupational & Environmental Medicine and American Association for Physician Leadership. I continue to work with the University of Pennsylvania OEM Fellowship Program and with St. Luke’s Family Medicine Residency Directors to provide rotations in urgent care and occupational medicine.

During my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children.
