Michael A. Alterman, D.O. graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his ophthalmology residency at Michigan State University’s St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Alterman served as chief intern and chief resident while completing his ophthalmology training. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Alterman is a comprehensive ophthalmologist specializing in minimally invasive cataract surgery, ophthalmic plastic surgery and retina disorders. Dr Alterman performs blade-free laser assisted cataract surgery with advanced technology lens implants allowing for faster healing and greater range of vision following cataract surgery. He is a member of the active staff at St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem and performs surgery at the Center for Specialized Surgery.
