About Me

As a board certified orthopedic surgeon at St. Luke's University Health Network, I treat a variety of musculoskeletal problems but my main focus is hip and knee arthritis. Every patient gets individualized care.  At first, my approach is to try conservative care for arthritis. After this trial and at the right time, we will move ahead with a total joint replacement.  With my exceptional surgical skills and bedside manner, I am able to offer my patients an excellent result combined with a patient centered experience.

I attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  Through my osteopathic training, I learned that everything is connected and that an ailment in one part of the body can affect the rest of the body.  My training taught me to treat the whole patient.  After I graduated from medical school, I continued at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for the next five years and completed my residency training in orthopedic surgery.  Through my orthopedic training, I learned the importance of restoring a patient's motion.  Motion gives us the freedom to take care of ourselves and enjoy our avocations, giving us a better quality of life.  My desire to help patients achieve this concept led me to a fellowship in adult reconstructive surgery at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston, MA. Here, I spent a year fine-tuning my skills in total joint replacement.  I then had the privilege of joining St. Luke's Orthopedic Care.  Since I was born and raised in Allentown, I can't think of anything better than to return to this area and give back to the community that helped shape the person that I am today.

I am currently active in the American Osteopathic Association, American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Ruth Jackson Orthopedic Society.  Personally, I most enjoy traveling, learning photography, and spending time with my family and friends.
