About Me

The most special aspect of being a doctor for me is the relationship I make with my patients. I believe in shared decision-making with the patient being an active participant. I am very proactive with wellness and strive to encourage patients to engage in healthy diets and exercise actively.

I am a rheumatologist privileged to have cared for patients in the Lehigh Valley for many decades. I graduated from Hahnemann Medical School in Philadelphia and trained in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic. I completed my Rheumatology and Immunology Fellowship at the Affiliated Hospitals of Harvard Medical School and Hahnemann University. I am a proud Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. I am a Clinical Adjunct Assistant Professor in Medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia. I have held academic positions in the Clinical Faculty at Harvard Medical School, Hahnemann Medical University, and Thomas Jefferson Medical University. I served as the Chair of the Metabolic Bone Study group for the American College of Rheumatology for several years. I have participated in clinical studies, taught medical students and residents and lectured nationally and internationally on multiple topics in rheumatology. I have had publications on Osteoporosis and Autoantibodies in Connective Tissue Disease and Inflammatory Arthritis Therapy published.

I am an active member of the Institute for Functional Medicine and utilize the anti-inflammatory diet to help my patients to integrate wellness with their medical therapies to achieve their health goals.

I love cooking and entertaining my family and friends. My husband, children and three granddaughters are my greatest inspiration and love. I enjoy training for 10K and half marathons in my spare time. I also love traveling to new places to experience the beauty and culture of other countries and our wonderful country. Additionally, I am a passionate Philadelphia Eagles, Sixers, Phillies and Flyers sports fan!!
