About Me

Dr. Burke’s goal as a physician is to treat every patient with dignity and respect. He tries to make decisions on behalf of his patients as if they were members of his own family.

Dr. Burke received his Medical Degree from New York Medical College in 1984, where he received the class community service award.

In 1985, Dr. Burke moved to Philadelphia to complete his internal medicine residency at Presbyterian, University of Pennsylvania Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. After completing his gastroenterology fellowship in 1990 at Presbyterian, he moved to Sellersville and started his career in private practice affiliating with both Grand View Hospital and Quakertown Community Hospital (now St. Luke’s Quakertown Hospital).

In 1992, Dr. Burke started Bux-Mont Gastroenterology Associates, which joined the St. Luke’s University Health Network in 2019. Dr. Burke was elected as a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology in 2017 and is the current President of the Bucks County Medical Society. He also serves as an assistant editor the medical society's quarterly magazine, Bucks-Mont Physician.

Dr. Burke special interest in gastroenterology is the treatment of chronic liver disease, celiac disease and colon cancer screening as a public health issue.

His Interests outside of work are spending time with wife his Karen and their family, including his new granddaughter, playing golf, cooking, church activities and in the fall, watching NFL Red Zone from start to finish on Sundays.
